This easy homemade fondant recipe in which you will use ingredients that are probably already in your pantry. Marshmallows make this recipe softer than the usual fondant icing with a sweet taste that children will love.

Fondant Ingredients:

  • 1/4 cup warm water
  • 2 tbsp lemon juice
  • 2 tbsp gelatin
  • 1/2 cup glucose
  • 2 tbsp flavoring (flavor you like to use)
  • 5 tsp glycerin
  • 2 lbs powdered sugar And more sugar, depending on your taste

Homemade Fondant Instructions:

Sift the powdered sugar into a big bowl. Don’t forget to to spare 1 cup of it for later use.
Combine the gelatin with the warm water and mix well.

Now add the lemon juice, mix all, and make it sit for 5 minutes so the gelatin will start to bloom.

Put the glucose in a microwavable bowl/glass then microwave it for 30 seconds.

Add the glycerin and flavors to the glucose, and combine them well.

When the gelatin starts to look bloomed, put it in the microwave for 15 seconds. (Do Not Over Heat) And add the gelatin to the glucose and combine them well.

make a well in the center powdered sugar. Spread the sugar to the sides and make a hole in the middle, but don’t expose the bottom of the bowl.

Add the glucose/gelatin mixture to the powdered sugar and begin to mix by folding the combined mixture.

Keep mixing until almost all of the powdered sugar is totally absorbed.

On a clean surface, sift the cup of sugar that you preserved and pour the fondant paste over the surface.
