Super milky, and melt-in-your-mouth creamy flan I have ever made!

Caramel by Microwave:

  • 40 gram sugar
  • 2 tbsp water

Mix well and put in the microwave-safe bowl for about 40 seconds. Depending on your microwave power, when you see the caramel turning to yellow, continue for another 5-10 seconds. Be careful it’s super hot! Quickly pour into the flan mold. My microwave is 1,000W, please adjust the time!

How to make creamy flan

Leche Flan

Instant Pot Method:

  • 2 Large whole eggs + 2 egg yolks
  • 35 gram sugar
  • 350 ml Whole milk or half-half milk (for a creamier taste)
  • Vanilla Extract (Optional)

Mix all ingredients in the bowl and strain for a smooth mixture

Instant Pot:

Steam for 6-8 mins depending on the size of the mold and NPR for another 10 – 12 mins

Oven Method:

Baking in the hot water bath and bake at 300F (150C) for 30-40 mins on the middle rack.
